3RD BASS

I saw this highly underrated group perform live in '91 at Pittsburgh's Graffiti night club shortly after the release of their sophomore album Derelicts of Dialect, and my 14th birthday. Derelicts of Dialect, along with 1989's The Cactus Album, stands the test of time; both records remain true Hip Hop classics. The excellent Third Bass site ThirdBass.net has a sick download section and reports that the Prime Minister Pete Nice is currently the owner of a baseball memorabilia store in Cooperstown, New York and has authored two books on early baseball history. Until recently MC Search was a popular wake up DJ in Detroit, Michigan.
